Join Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? wedding planner Vicky Johnson as she introduces you into the world of her friends, Washington DC's finest in the event industry for a full day immersion into the REAL DEAL. This is NOT your everyday ordinary certification course, you can get those anywhere. If you are ready to set yourself apart in this industry, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE. We have structured into a series of workshops in an effort to keep it affordable and much more detailed than a one day course would allow. Apprenticeship: The Encounter If you are interested in taking your wedding planning consultancy to the next level or are anxious to enter the wedding industry without becoming an intern, we invite you to take advantage of our apprenticeship program. In the apprenticeship program you will be involved in the planning, staging, event design and final production of two weddings. You will be able to choose the two event dates that work for you and attend as many meetings and appointments with brides based upon their schedule. You will attend an initial consultation and a final planning meeting as well as help create the wedding day itineraries and all related event reports. As an apprentice you will also attend two rehearsals and be present for the day of coordination. Not only will you get hands on experience in the wedding consulting field you will also attend a training seminar that will show you how to run your business, how to close clients, and learn the ins and outs of becoming a certified wedding consultant. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the apprenticeship and the use of approved photos and/or media may be included in your portfolio. If you have a passion for weddings, this is the training opportunity that will empower you to do what you love in your own business as a professional wedding consultant, just as it has done for our owner Vicky Johnson who has gone on to be a noted educator in the field of event planning and entrepreneurship as well as a published writer and television personality.
